Outer Banks: The Pogues, Treasure Hunt, and Season 4!

Confession Time: Let’s talk Outer Banks, or as I like to call it, one of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures. I mean, what’s not to love? 

We’ve got treasure hunts, wild adventures, and some of the most chaotic friendships that make me want to dive right into the OBX world. Oh, and before I forget, let me just say: JJ, you are my favorite character!

I mean, seriously, who can resist that charm? He’s the kind of guy who’s always there for his friends, fiercely loyal, and let's be real, he's hot. If you’re not crushing on JJ, are you even watching the same show?

Scene Review: JJ’s Motorbike Madness

One of the wildest scenes that’s forever burned into my brain is when JJ goes full-on adrenaline junkie with that epic motorbike and police car chase. 

If you haven’t seen it, picture this: JJ is speeding down the road on his bike, the police hot on his tail. Just when you think he’s going to get caught, JJ swerves, narrowly missing obstacles, heart racing the entire time. 

But the craziest part? He doesn’t stop. As the police chase reaches a climax, JJ speeds toward a bridge, and in a moment that had me gasping, he falls off the bridge and crashes!

I remember watching that and holding my breath, wondering, "Is JJ okay?!" It’s one of those heart-stopping scenes where his carefree yet dangerous attitude is on full display. And of course, being JJ, he survives, proving once again that he’s both reckless and invincible—at least for now.

Recap of Season 3 Ending

Before we dive into season 4, let’s recap where we left off. Season 3 was an emotional rollercoaster. After finally uncovering the truth about the legendary treasure, the Pogues went through absolute chaos. 

The final scenes left us with a lot of tension. John B and Sarah’s complicated relationship, the growing romance between JJ and Kiara (which I was ALL here for), and the ultimate betrayal from Ward and Rafe.

And let’s not forget Cleo, our fearless newcomer who officially became part of the Pogue family. She adds such a fresh dynamic with her badass skills and no-nonsense attitude. Her connection with Pope is one I’m really looking forward to seeing more of.

But what really stood out was the ending: the Pogues finally found themselves on the path to a new treasure, the legendary El Dorado, as they made a shocking discovery of Blackbeard’s captain’s log. 

That cliffhanger left me screaming, wanting more! Just when they think the treasure hunt is over, it seems like their next adventure is only beginning. 

We’ve still got so many unanswered questions, and knowing the Outer Banks team, season 4 is going to take the stakes to a whole new level.

The Treasure Continues with Season 4!

Now, for all my fellow Pogues fans out there, I have some exciting news—Outer Banks is back with season 4, and it’s dropping in TWO parts. Yes, you heard that right. Part 1 is coming on October 10th, with five glorious episodes. Just as we’re ready to binge that, Part 2 will drop on November 7th, giving us another five episodes to devour. So, mark your calendars because it’s going to be a wild ride!

After all the craziness we’ve been through in the past three seasons, I can’t even begin to imagine what kind of twists and turns they’ll throw at us this time. There’s always something unpredictable in the world of OBX, and with John B., Sarah, Kiara, Pope, Cleo, and, of course, JJ back in action, you know it’s going to be good.

If you haven’t started watching Outer Banks yet, I’ll give you three reasons to dive in ASAP:
